Christopher Chan, MD

University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine

After completing his post-graduate training in internal medicine and nephrology at the University of Toronto, Dr. Chan pursued further training in cardiovascular physiology. He is the Divisional Director of Nephrology and Professor of Medicine at the University Health Network. He also holds the R Fraser Elliott Chair in Home Dialysis. Dr. Chan has contributed more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and has written multiple book chapters in the field of home dialysis. He has also co-led the KDIGO consensus meeting in novel approaches in blood purification and has served as chair of the cardiac committee of the Frequent Hemodialysis Network Trials.
